Scott resides in The Village of Lloyd Harbor with his wife Bianca and their three children. He has a passion for fitness, competes in national endurance racing events and is a top local triathlon finisher.
Scott has built his career and reputation over the last sixteen years in the real estate industry as a property owner, developer and investor. He is a Principal at The Engel Burman Group, a privately held real estate development and construction company, where he leverages his extensive professional experience overseeing various aspects of business development and operations.
Scott currently presides as the President of Engel Burman Construction, managing a pipeline of approximately a half billion dollars in various types of construction projects. During his tenure, he has designed and implemented a corporate restructuring focused around strategies to build robust capabilities in order to expedite and allow for the company's growth into a variety of business sectors; the rapid expansion of The Bristal Assisted Living chain, a surge in active senior lifestyle communities, entrance into the drug rehabilitation and research sector, and other imminent residential and mixed-use projects herald a new era in the companies development and construction activities.
Throughout his career, Scott has extensively negotiated the purchase, sale and leasing of commercial property as well as complicated real estate development deals for assisted living and multi-family residential projects. Scott has a keen understanding of property finance and has structured and closed an array of intricate fundings for real estate projects with combined values totaling several hundred million dollars.
Scott has a unique eye for project concepts, planning and development. Appearing before and giving testimony to municipalities and government agencies throughout the region, he has established a successful track record for obtaining difficult land use approvals. He has the vision for and commitment to seeing his innovative projects through the development process to successful completion.
Scott is a founding Partner of Paramount Realty USA, a real estate auction company headquartered in Manhattan, which represents real estate owners and developers in the accelerated marketing and sale of all types of real estate via auction.
Most recently appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Long Island Children Museum, Scott and Bianca were also honorees at their 2016 Annual Cocktails and Cupcakes Gala. Scott chairs The Association for a Better Long Island’s Associate Board (ABLI). He is the recipient of the Long Island Business News' 2010 Award for "Rising Star in Commercial Development," a member of their "40 under 40" class of 2011 and a past President of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG).
Scott received Bachelor of Science Degrees in Finance and Marketing from the New York University Stern School of Business.
