
Scott is Principal at Engel Burman and plays an active role in directing and managing the company’s overall investment activity and business operations. He is also President of Engel Burman Construction and oversees a team of more than one hundred (100) employees and nearly one billion dollars ($1B) of construction activity.
Scott has worked across diverse real estate industry sectors including commercial properties, senior living, multi-family residential, and healthcare. As an industry thought leader, Scott has earned the trust of valued stakeholders by being knowledgeable, open-minded, and solution-oriented, while yielding successes throughout the development process, construction cycle, and beyond. Throughout his career, this same skill set has allowed him to tackle the inevitable challenges that come with overseeing a large, multi-disciplinary organization that must function as an interrelated whole.
Scott is an active member of the community and serves on many boards including the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Metro New York Chapter, the Real Estate Institute (REI) at Stony Brook College of Business, the LIPA/PSEG Community Advisory Board, serves as Chair to the Board of Trustees for the Long Island Children’s Museum and is past president of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG).
Scott has been featured in the media and frequently participates on industry panels, he is a guest lecturer at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University as well as Stony Brook University School of Business teaching about construction and real estate development.
Scott earned his degree in Business from New York University Stern School of Business.
